Excellent burgers. Kale typically is healthy, and who really wants them more than fries? You NEED the kale at Maxwell's. Braised with bacon it is perfection. The staff is also helpful and quick with service.
I recently visited Maxwell's Burgers & Shakes and had an incredible dining experience! The **service from Frank the waiter** was top-notch – attentive, friendly, and made sure every need was met. I ordered the **Wagyu burger** and **hot dog**, and they were both absolutely killer! The Wagyu burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, while the hot dog was a deliciously messy delight. The sides, including the hand-cut fries, were equally fantastic. Maxwell's truly offers a fantastic combination of great food and excellent service. I'll definitely be coming back for more!
I’d give 10 stars if I could!! This was my first time ever eating here and everything was amazing. Rubie took my order and brought me out my food with exceptional manners and was very polite and nice to be around. The rest of the staff was also awesome and friendly, making sure to check on every customer. You can definitely tell these people like what they do and from my short time in there, it seemed to me as if they enjoyed working with one another. The burger was hands down the best burger I’ve had in downtown Frederick. Typically I’d rate wags one of the best in town but this place seriously has them beat by miles!! Don’t miss out!!
Today is my wife's Birthday, so I told her to pick ANY place to go for a B'Day dinner. Frederick is LOADED with many and varied restaurants, and after carefully reading reviews and menus she told me she wanted to go to Maxwell's. A burger joint for a Birthday dinner? Well, that was her choice... Wow! What a great choice. This place is fantastic. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They gave us tastes of various sauces and toppings, and when the my wife's "Boozy Shake" arrived, it had a Birthday candle in it. My burger was very sloppy and so delicious. Char had their take on a BLT, with bacon/Jalapeno jam (not too spice, just a sweet bit of a kick). Voluntarily eat kale as a side dish? I had the braised kale with bacon and it was killer tasty. Birthday or not, we'll be back at Maxwell's again soon!
Great atmosphere! Food tasted great. A couple of things had a little kick (spicy) but were very tasty. We had the BBQ Chicken salad and the Wagyu Burger with side of Braised Kale w/bacon. The staff were awesome! From an ex food service worker this place was on point! We will definitely be back!
We had a great lunch here today. The staff were very accommodating when my two kids split a kids meal and shake, making it easy to divide their order between them. The smokehouse burger was great and their fries, with the seasoning they put on, are delicious. Thanks for the great lunch experience!
Just stopped by this place with my family on my way back to York, PA. So sad this place isn't closer. The burgers and buns are delicious. The homemade ranch dressing for the salads needs to be sold by the bottle... .yummy. Also loved that they had cream soda. It's my favorite soda very few restaurants carry it. The staff were kind and very helpful. Check them out!!!
Different local artist work hangs on the wall, and the food is so savory. Best Mac and cheese ice literally ever eaten. Milkshakes with a little adult flavor if you like. They're good with AND without it though ;)
